FAQs

Where will the wedding be held?

The main town is Rapolano Terme in Tuscany, which is where most guests will be staying.

The events will be held in various places in and around the area. The Saturday night celebrations and Sunday pool party will be held at Podere Spiritellino, which is the Ascolani family home.

Where are the event details for the weekend?

They are on the homepage (click here), you need to scroll down to the section that says “The Weekend”.

You can find timings, map links, dress code and extra details.

What’s the best airport to fly to?

There are quite a few airports you can fly to. Here is a rundown of each one and the estimated driving time to Rapolono Terme:

  • Perugia – San Francesco d’Assisi Airport: ~ 1 hour

  • Florence – Amerigo Vespucci Airport: ~ 1 hour 20 minutes

  • Pisa – Pisa International Airport: ~ 1 hour 50 minutes

  • Ancona – Raffaello Sanzio Airport: ~ 2 hours 10 minutes

  • Rome (Fiumicino) – Leonardo da Vinci Airport (FCO): ~ 2 hours 20 minutes

  • Rome (Ciampino) – Giovan Battista Pastine International Airport: ~ 2 hours 20 minutes

What’s the best way around? Should I rent a car? Are there taxis/uber?

During the weekend events, all guests will be provided transport from their accommodation to the events and back. So no need to worry about transport in these scenarios.

In terms of travel outside the weekend events, Rapolano Terme is quite a rural town in the Tuscan Countryside (30 mins from Siena, 1 hr 15 mins from Florence), so there aren’t any ubers and taxis can be a little complicated to organise. We would recommend you rent a car, which you can do easily at any airport.

What is the weather like at this time of the year?

It is likely to be hot and dry, with temperatures of 30-35 degrees celsius (85-95 degrees fahrenheit) during the day and 20-25 degrees celsius in the night (65-75 degrees fahrenheit).

During the ceremony it may be wise to bring a fan. If using a handheld electric fan make sure it’s not too loud.
